Alessandro Mendini
Alessandro Mendini is one of the rare, iconic architects in the history of art and architecture, deeply influenced by Leonardo Da Vinci, Palladio, Alberti and Ledoux.
Since the late seventies he has been one of the renovators of Italian design.

Alessandro Mendini has received numerous international awards. Elegant man, brilliant, visionary and curious to experience ever-changing disciplines, he has never ceased to consider the human being, mean as “body, psyche and spirit”, as the center of the project.
He has repeatedly acted as a consultant for the urban planning of some local administrations in South Korea and Italy.
Well known are his furniture pieces and collections, such as the Museum Market collection of 1993 and the Proust armchair, exhibited in several permanent collections.
He was an honorary member of the Bezabel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in France and was awarded the Architectural League in New York. He also taught design at the Hochschule fur Angewandte Kunst in Vienna.
